Welcome to the KilimoVision blog

Our new home for success stories from the field and news about our work with families, farmers and schools in Dadaab.

By KilimoVision Team

Welcome to the new KilimoVision website and blog. This is where we will share what is happening in our work across the Dadaab refugee camps and the host communities around them in Garissa County.

What you will find here

  • Success stories from the households, smallholder farmers and schools we work with, told with their permission and, wherever possible, in their own words.
  • News about our projects, partnerships and events.

Where our work stands today

KilimoVision works through three projects, one for each of our programme areas:

  • NAFIS: climate-smart food production for households. More than 500 households have been supported directly, about 70% from refugee and 30% from host communities.
  • GrowWell: training and farm inputs for smallholder farmers. More than 50 farmers have been trained and provided with farm tools.
  • Nafaqo: school gardens for nutrition. More than 6 schools have been supported to set up gardens.
